Thank you for your interest in our herd. We began with one red-spotted doe
that we
purchased from Rena Lynch. Needless to say, she is our very special beginning.
She is a
permanent Grand Champion now and the dam of our first champion with our herd
name.
She also produced our first class winner at the Nationals. Moore’s Meadows
Smooth O
Karo, first place Senior kid 2003 Nationals.
We no longer have Nubians but they area very special part of our herd history. We
have
been so fortunate to start with top quality stock. We give special thanks
to Rena Lynch for
her help and encouragement and for the special does that she sold to us. We
also want to
thank Richard and Fredricka Waldman for the great start they gave us with
our Alpine herd
when they finally agreed to sell us our Ellie at the ’96 National Show.
She produced our first
permanent Alpine champion with our herd name, Moores Meadow Eve. Eve became
a
champion as a yearling doe. Ellie appraised a 91 as a three year old and Eve
appraised 91 as
a two-year old. They are both incredible does!
We have just recently added Toggenburgs to our herd. We had the good fortune
to be
able to purchase a few of Lisa Gardner-Chen’s Toggenburgs. So now we
have a small but
very beautiful and top quality Toggenburg herd. We purchased Pindales "Tennessee"
the
Toggenburg Spotlight-Sale back last year and he has produced some great kids.
This year
we added a new buck, "Roger" from Joan D. Roe. We expect he will
also add greatness to
our herd.
We test yearly for C.A.E. and blood is sent to Washington State. All kids
are raised on
heat-treated colostrums and pasteurized milk. Kids need to be picked up at
thirty days or
shipped out at that time. Pregnant does are given CD/T vaccinations thiry
and sixty days
before kidding and coccidioses prevention. We worm all our animals regularly.
Kids will be
shipped out of Dallas/Fort Worth Airport. A one hundred dollar deposit will
hold the kid of
your choice. Buck kids are kept out of quality dams only.
If you decide to purchase a buck we ask that you agree to refrain from marketing
his
semen until his daughters have been evaluated in milk. We also reserve the
right to purchase
20 units of semen for the cost of collection on any buck we sell. Shipping
crates and
shipping fees are the buyer’s responsibility. Again thank you and we
hope to see you in the
coming year!
